FAQ
Questions partners ask us
Short answers about Dreamlake, the products, cruise supply and pricing. If your question is not here, ask us.
What is Dreamlake?
Dreamlake is a travel technology company building the commerce platform to power cruise sales. From Stockholm, we connect more than 50 cruise lines to the agencies, OTAs and direct channels that sell them, online and at the advisor desk.
What is Dreamlake Commerce?
Dreamlake Commerce is our cruise commerce platform, with supply, commerce and operations in one place. Three channels run on it, Traveler Storefront for travelers, Travel Advisor for advisors and Data & Services for your own front end, on the same products, prices and orders.
Is Dreamlake a cruise booking engine?
Yes, and more. Traveler Storefront is a cruise booking website and engine in your brand, and Travel Advisor is the cruise booking system for travel advisors. Both run on one commerce platform, built for more bookings and a lower cost per booking.
Who is Dreamlake for?
Travel agencies, OTAs, cruise lines and aggregators. The same platform pays off differently for travel agents, cruise lines and aggregators.
Will travelers see the Dreamlake brand?
No. Travelers see your domain and your design language, from the first search to the confirmation. We stay behind the scenes. The relationship belongs to the brand that earned it.
Where is Dreamlake based?
The team works together in our Stockholm office. The company is Dreamlake AB, registered at Smedjegatan 25, 131 54 Nacka, Sweden.
What is Traveler Storefront?
A cruise booking website and engine in your brand, on your own domain. Travelers search live inventory, choose the cabin and pay online, in their own language, currency and payment method. Destination, port and ship pages are published from the CMS, without waiting for IT.
What is Travel Advisor?
The cruise booking system for your advisors, one selling system for every desk and sub-agency. One search across every cruise line, while the client is still on the phone. Advisors quote, package, book and service the order in one place, with your margin in view. Fares, promotions and permissions are set once, from head office.
Do we need both Traveler Storefront and Travel Advisor?
No. Start with the channel you need and add the other on the same platform. For agencies the two work as a pair. Travelers book online and your advisors sell at the desk, on the same products, prices and orders, so every booking lands in the same orders and the same reports.
What is Data & Services?
The API channel, for the front end you already run. One API for content, search, pricing and booking. Start small and add services and functionality at your own pace. Your front end and design stay yours.
What are the Services?
Dynamic Packaging, Installment Pay and selling in every market, on the platform you already run. The services are switched on through your Dreamlake agreement and work across every channel you sell through.
Which cruise lines can we sell?
The platform connects more than 50 cruise lines, with more than 45,000 sailings and more than 4,000 destinations. Cruise lines plus global air and hotel in one normalized catalog, content included. Ask us about the lines you sell.
Are prices and availability live?
Yes. Live prices and availability across every cruise line, by sailing, cabin and date, on any device. The same live price sits behind the storefront, the advisor portal and the APIs.
Is cruise content included?
Yes. Ship and cabin images, deck plans, itineraries and destination texts come with every cruise line in 20+ languages. They are maintained by our content team.
What happens when a new cruise line is added?
When we connect a new cruise line, it appears in the same API, with no work at your end. Fares, cabin categories and booking rules arrive normalized. A new cruise line changes your coverage, not your code.
Can we sell flights and hotels with the cruise?
Yes, with Dynamic Packaging. Flights, hotels and transfers are priced live with the cabin and sold as one order, with margin set by your rules.
What does Dreamlake cost?
Pricing is agreed per setup. We share the commercial model and the prices for your case in the first conversation.
Can we set our own margins, fares and promotions?
Yes. Set pricing and promotions per market and per channel from one hub, and head office rules apply at every desk. Your advisors see the margin on every rate as they sell.
Can advisors compare rates?
Yes. Compare the rates for each sailing and cabin side by side, and pick the best one case by case, with your margin in view.
Do travelers see our margin?
No. Your advisors see the margin on every rate as they sell. The traveler's quote shows the price only.
How does Installment Pay work?
A deposit locks the cabin and the rest is paid monthly from the traveler's own money, with no lender and no interest. It works across every channel you sell through.
Which markets, languages and currencies do you support?
Every market, in the local language, currency and payment method, with regional pricing and market rules. A new market is a settings change, not a new site.
Do cruise lines have to replace their reservation system?
No. The platform sits beside your reservation system, and your reservation system stays as it is. Search, pricing, checkout and orders run under your own brand and front end.
Can the agencies that sell us use the same fares?
Yes. Travel Advisor gives travel advisors the same inventory, fares and promotions you sell direct.
How do aggregators add cruise to their product?
One API for cruise content, search, live pricing and booking across the cruise lines. Take the catalog as a daily data feed, or call search, pricing and booking live. Your front end and design stay yours.
Can our customers book on their own cruise line rates?
Yes. Your customers book on their own cruise line agreements and rates. We connect with the cruise line credentials your customers already have, set up per customer. Adding a customer means adding their logins, not new code.
How do we get API access?
Request API access with your work email. Our integration team will reply and, once we have talked, set up API access.
Do we have to build anything ourselves?
Not for Traveler Storefront or Travel Advisor. Live supply, content, checkout and local payments come already connected. There is nothing to build on your side. With Data & Services you integrate once, under your own front end.
Do you help us bring in traffic?
Your marketing brings the travelers, and our team helps with search and digital marketing where it pays off, since every booking is a shared win. Destination, port and ship pages are fast, search-ready and on your own domain.
Can we adjust the booking funnel?
Yes. We A/B test the booking funnel as we build it, and you configure it to fit your travelers.
How do we get started?
Leave your work email and a cruise commerce specialist will get back to you. Tell us how you sell today, and we will show you the platform for your case.
